Rujuta Saksena, MD
Dr. Rujuta Saksena is a dynamic and skilled hematologist and oncologist, with a background that incorporates a strong medical foundation and a passion for building meaningful patient-centered relationships. Her undergraduate training at Lehigh University focused on Behavioral Neuroscience and Philosophy. She then attended Jefferson Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University (where she fell in love with both medicine and the city of Philadelphia). Since then, she has been rooted in New Jersey. Her internal medicine residency training was at Robert Wood Johnson University hospital, followed by Hematology/Oncology fellowship at Rutgers - Cancer Institute of New Jersey, where she also served as the Chief fellow.
Her training at a National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center enables her to provide patient-centered care in a progressive, team environment.
She is Board Certified in Internal medicine, Hematology, and Oncology. Dr. Saksena also has several publications relevant to clinical practice, focusing on both hematological and oncologic disorders. Her publications have focused on clinical management of breast cancer, colon cancer, and research work has included evaluation of bleeding disorders among other projects.
In this era of novel cancer therapeutics, she is able to offer up to date treatments for various hematologic and oncologic disorders. Most importantly, she is readily available to her patients, to help them navigate their way through potentially challenging times.
